Pre natal treatments are aimed at identifying any physical strains, relieve discomfort and help the body adapt throughout pregnancy.

Post natal treatments focus on the short and long term physical recovery following labour. Treatments can help relieve joint strains and postural changes following labour.

Post natal check ups for Mums include assessment of your pelvis, hips, back, posture & advice for pelvic floor exercises.

Baby Checks include birth history, assessment & treatment of baby's posture, movements and advice.

Osteopathy for Babies & Children

Osteopathy is focused on baby's posture, and improving movements of their joints, muscles and ligaments.

Treatments include cranial osteopathy and gentle massage techniques to relax and stretch the body, which can improve how baby feeds and sleeps.

Infant Feeding Support

Osteopathy for Babies & Children

Infant Feeding support with breast and bottle feeding. Offered as separate postnatal appointments or an add on to osteopathy treatment.

Postnatal feeding consultations support parents with feeding positions & baby’s latch. As well as addressing any challenges such as sore nipples, nipple damage, slow weight gain, fussiness at the breast, bottle feeding advice and more.

About Me

Lara Schweidler M.Ost DPO

Hi I'm Lara. I am a Registered Osteopath with the General Osteopathic Council with over 14 years experience, specialising in treatments for Mums and Babies. I am also a FEDANT registered Breastfeeding Councillor and C-Section Scar Specialist.

My qualifications include a Masters in Osteopathy from The British School of Osteopathy (2010), a Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy with The Foundation of Paediatric Osteopathy based at The Osteopathic Centre for Children (2013), a fully accredited Infant Feeding Coach qualification (2022), and a certificate in C-Section Scar Therapy (2024).

I love being an Osteopath for Babies and Mums and I am extremely passionate about providing treatments, practical support and reassurance to families with new babies.

The Mum and Baby Osteopathy Clinic evolved after I had my own children and experienced the challenges parents face caring for themselves and their newborns. The treatment space is therefore set up exclusively for families, where baby and Mum’s wellbeing is the main focus of treatment.
